A couple of points to ponder over NTA and its duty towards CMAT:
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts CMAT on behalf of AICTE for admission to AICTE approved PGDM programs in top B-schools in India. NTA has shown to be a little reckless when it comes to conducting CMAT and the following previous behaviors can examine:
- CMAT 2023 Exam Date hasn’t been announced yet.
- The notification release date has been unpredictable each year varying from November-January.
- The announcement of CMAT exam date happens a few days before the exam whereas for other exams NTA has showcased a tentative month.
- CMAT exam date has been changing every year whereas in comparison CAT (November last Sunday) and XAT (January first Sunday) have been specific for so long.
Due to these confusions, it has been noticed that in 3 years there has been approximately a 40% downfall in candidates appearing for CMAT. Recent studies on the irregularities in CMAT notifications candidates have felt a great amount of anxiety. On average, where 1 lakh candidates used to fill for CMAT now, it only gets to approximately 50-60,000.
NTA is believed to have kept top B-Schools bewildered for their session commencement because of the abnormality in the notifications regarding CMAT. The admission procedures, counseling phases, and personal interviews; are all interlinked and dependent on NTA for CMAT Registrations, syllabus, pattern, admit card, exam date, and result.
