MAT 2023 Results for the February session has been released by AIMA for all modes on March 17. MAT 2023 Results are declared online by the All India Management Association (AIMA) on its official website i.e., www.mat.aima.in. Aspirants appearing for MAT 2023 exam can check and download their results by logging in to the official website by entering their Roll Number or Registration Number, and Date of Birth.

MAT 2023 Results include the scores obtained by the aspirants. The result of MAT is released in the form of a scorecard that contains sectional and overall scores obtained by the candidate. Aspirants will be shortlisted for admission to a top college based on the marks obtained in MAT. 

MAT 2023 Result for the May session for all modes- Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT), and Internet Based Test (IBT) will be declared tentatively in the month of July.

After the announcement of the MAT 2023 result, the MAT participating college/institute will begin the admission process for MBA/PGDM based on the aspirant’s MAT exam score. To apply for admission at B-schools, aspirants will need the MAT 2023 scorecard.

  • Step 1: Go to the official site of AIMA MAT i.e.mat.aima.in/
  • Step 2: Go to the tab titled “Download/ View”
  • Step 3: Aspirants need to click on the option ‘MAT Result’

MAT 2023 Result: What is MAT Score and Percentile?

The percentage of candidates who have a lower score than that of the aspirant is known as the MAT 2023 percentile. MAT 2023 Percentile of an aspirant is calculated after calculating the composite score of the aspirants. Candidates as per their score are then ranked and the percentile is calculated on the basis of their rank. For eg., If an aspirant appeared for the MAT exam and the rank of the candidates is 20, then the candidate’s percentile is calculated as (100-20)/ 100 i/e/. 80 percentile.

How is MAT 2023 Percentile Calculated?

MAT 2023 Results and calculation of score will be based on the scores obtained in Mathematical Skills, Language Comprehension, Intelligence, Critical Reasoning, and Data Analysis and Sufficiency. The marks of the Indian and Global Environment sections will not be taken into consideration for MAT percentile calculation. Below given the important points to calculate MAT Score/ Percentile:

  • MAT 2023 composite score will be given in the range of 199-801.
  • Each question will carry one mark.
  • For each incorrect attempt, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect.
  • For unanswered questions, there will be no deduction of marks.
  • Marks of the four sections will be reported on a scale of 0-100.
  • A score above 80 and below 20 is counted as rare.
  • The MAT Composite Score will be reported on a scale of 199 to 801.
  • In MAT Composite scores, scores above 900 and below 200 are reported as common.
  • MAT 2023 percentile will be calculated on the basis of the performance of each aspirant versus all candidates.

MAT 2023 Scorecard:

MAT 2023 Scorecard will be issued by the conducting authority i.e., All India Management Association (AIMA). Aspirants can check and download the MAT 2023 scorecard by visiting the official portal of AIMA or checking it through SMS. The scorecard of MAT will represent the marks obtained by candidates in different subjects of MAT 2023 i.e., Mathematical Skills, Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, and Indian and Global Environment. MAT score will be valid for one year from the month of its declaration of result.

After the declaration of the MAT 2023 result, the MAT participating institute will release a list of candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of the MAT 2023 cut-off. MAT 2023 Selection Process

MAT 2023 selection process comprises various stages as per the institutes. Some institutes may or not conduct the stages for selection as per their need. Aspirants need to carry along with them some documents like MAT admit card, rank card, caste certificate, class 10, 12, and graduation marksheets to the colleges at the time of the selection procedure for the MAT 2023 exam

MAT 2023 Admission Process

All India Management Association (AIMA) will not conduct the admission process for the MBA courses. Aspirants will have to apply separately to the MAT participating institutes. Aspirants who are looking for admission into the MBA course will have to take part in the selection process or counseling process at the respective college on the basis of the MAT 2023 results.

MAT 2023 Result FAQs

Q. Can a candidate get a duplicate copy of the MAT scorecard if it is lost?

Ans: If an aspirant lost their MAT scorecard, he/she can download it again from the official website. To download the scorecard again, they do not have to pay any fees. The MAT results will be available for download up to the last 5 sessions.

Q. What is the MAT 2023 scaled score?

Ans: MAT 2023 scores are scaled from 0 to 100 for every section. This scaled score changed into a percentile score, on the basis of the aspirant’s performance in comparison with that of the other candidates.

Q. What will be the maximum marks in the MAT 2023 exam?

Ans: For every section, there will be 200 marks for 200 questions. MAT 2023 paper comprises five sections. But the result of the first four sections will be used to determine the percentage. For each section, the maximum raw score will be 40 marks for 40 questions. MAT scores for each section will be scaled to 100.

Q. Does All India Management Association (AIMA) organize a centralized counseling process for admission through MAT?

Ans: No, the All India Management Association (AIMA) will not organize a centralized counseling process for admission through MAT. The conducting authority will only send the MAT scorecard of the aspirants to the participating institutes that they choose in the MAT application form.

Ans: A composite score of 400 or more 400 is considered as a good MAT score. Most of the aspirants score between 200 to 600 in MAT.

Ans: MAT 2023 result will be valid for one year. All the colleges that accept MAT scores will not accept MAT 2023 scorecards more than one year old.
